

Lawrence Sapanski
Co-Founder and Co-CIO
Larry Sapanski is the Co-Founder and Co-CIO of Cinctive Capital Management and has over 35 years of investment management experience. Prior to co-founding Cinctive, Larry founded and served as the CIO of Scoria Capital. Earlier in his career, Larry co-founded Diamondback Capital, where he managed a major portion of the assets in financials and energy, as well as strategies for bonds and macro. Larry has held various trading positions at SAC Capital, London Bishopgates International, Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley. Larry graduated from St. Johns University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Richard Schimel
Co-Founder and Co-CIO
Rich Schimel is the Co-Founder and Co-CIO of Cinctive Capital Management and has over 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Previously Rich was Head of Aptigon Capital, a division of Citadel, where he served on the firm’s Portfolio Committee. Prior to Cinctive, Rich founded and served as the CIO of Sterling Ridge Capital. Earlier in his career, Rich co-founded Diamondback Capital, where he co-managed the firm as well as portions of the firm’s overall investment strategy. Prior to Diamondback, Rich began his buy-side career at SAC Capital where he was a portfolio manager. Rich started his career in fixed income at PaineWebber. Rich graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics. Rich serves as President of “A Little Hope,” a nonprofit focused on childhood grief counseling and bereavement support.
